ENTRADA - PEREGRINE
FALCON (2005)
Acrylic on
illustration board 6" x 12"
Brought
near the brink of extinction throughout much of its range in
the 1960s, the Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus) has
made a remarkable comeback in recent decades, thanks largely
to the banning in many countries of DDT and related organochlorides,
and a concerted captive breeding and re-release campaign mounted
by the Peregrine Fund. |
